The Children’s Cancer Association didn’t start with a foundation, it started with a family. One who faced its own battle with serious pediatric illness almost two decades ago in Portland, Oregon. From that experience came a passionate commitment and focus: To deliver the resources, the friendship and the healing power of music to families facing the same challenges.

Unlike many organizations dedicated to the worthy goal of someday finding a cure for cancer, CCA is all about today. We specialize on the moment, delivering immediate help to kids and teens facing life-threatening illness. We long for the day when there’s a cure for cancer; but until that day arrives, we’re there for kids facing the biggest battle of their lives who need our help, today.

The mission of The Art Institute of Portland is undergraduate design education. Degree programs at the college include both liberal education and professional education. Instructional programs require course work in communications, the humanities, the social sciences, the natural sciences and mathematics; they also prepare students for entry-level positions in design fields by focusing on the demands of professional practice. The college is dedicated to personal service. It also seeks to be an innovative center for design, a lively supporter of the arts, and a positive community partner in the city of Portland, the state of Oregon, and the greater Pacific Northwest.
